Guests are invited to sip on Lloyd Cellars and other fine wines while tasting a variety of delicacies at the beautiful Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, where its beach-chic hotel provides awe-inspiring views of the Pacific Ocean. This is an elegant VIP event for true fine wine lovers, located in one of Orange County’s most beautiful coastal cities – Dana Point. The limited number of tickets sell out quickly (due to the rarity of the wines being poured). A champagne reception is just the prelude to an evening of sampling hard-to-find trophy wines to an adoring crowd dressed in their finest casual/elegant resort wear.
Prescription Vineyards and Lloyd Cellars invite you to the quintessential California wine tasting experience – sun, sea, food, wine, and music (we’re the stage sponsor!) – all come together at this sun-splashed wine fest at our brand new grassy, palm-lined venue, Sea Terrace Park. By 1:00 pm the event is in full swing at this Camelot-like white-topped tent village next to the sparkling Pacific Ocean. Wine lovers find hundreds of fine wines, regional craft brews, and a dizzying variety of foods to sample, including artisanal cheeses, bread, olive oil, chocolates, and more! Upstream, a Caribbean steel band, maintains a happy beat to the day for this all-day feast for the senses.
Prescription Vineyards will be escaping to the warmthand delicious excitementof the South Beach Wine and Food Festival this February 22 – 25 in Miami! We’ll be part of four fabulous events, including the Wine Spectator Trade Day hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Saturday and Sunday’s Grand Tastings at Goya Foods’ Grand Tasting Village, featuring Publix Culinary Demonstrations by Food Network star chefs and sponsored by Sub-Zero Group Southeast.
We’re especially fired up to again be the exclusive wine sponsor for ‘Steak and Whiskey’ hosted by Chef Michael Symon on Friday night, February 24, from 8 to 11 pm as part of the Miami Design District Event Series at Jungle Plaza. This is where we launched our Prescription Vineyards ‘Steak & Chardonnay Challenge’ last year to rave reviews, so of course, the challenge is on for 2023!

In the spring of 2022, the writer, podcaster and teacher Meghan Daum led a group of ten women into the California high desert for three days of brainstorming about an exciting new project. In a series of candid, intense, deeply informed, and often emotional discussions, they wrestled with some of the most vexing and complicated issues of our times: the chaos of COVID policies, the new gender ideology, the state of the #MeToo movement, gun rights, reproductive rights, the ideological capture of fine arts and culture, and much more. It was a life-changing experience.
It was also the start of The Unspeakeasy.
What Is The Unspeakeasy? The Unspeakeasy is a community for women who crave honest, rational, nuanced conversations about subjects that don’t come with easy solutions or lend themselves to memes or hashtags. It’s kind of like The Unspeakable Podcast, except everyone’s invited to join the conversation, connect with one another, and expand our worldviews while also reclaiming a sense of shared reality. If you’d like to join Meghan Daum and friends for a private launch event and wine tasting in Los Angeles on Sunday, January 29, email your request to joel@lloydcellars.com!

Prescription Vineyards is celebrating our multi-year sponsorship of the San Jose Int’l Short Film Festivaland our recent feature article in The Somm Journal magazine. The ‘Aerating the Sun’ story and interview with Winemaker Rob Lloyd highlight why our Chardonnay makes such an excellent wine for restaurant By-the-Glass (BTG) programs.
Issei also pairs our Prescription Vineyard’s Clarksburg Chardonnay with the kitchen’s ‘Mortadell-Burrata Pizza,’ so it seemed apropos to serve up hosted bites of this delicious pie during the event. To round out the experience, we’ll also share tastes of our Lloyd Cellars Carneros Chardonnay and Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. The event will be a great opportunity to pre-stock your wine cellar for the upcoming holiday 2022 season!
Please email Joel@LloydCellars.com to RSVP for Saturday’s complimentary wine tasting!

Rob and Bonnie Lloyd send their sincere thanks to all our fans for your support over the past decade and a half. This journey humbles them. Some of you may have noticed that beyond crafting uncompromising wines of distinction, Lloyd Cellars and Prescription Vineyards have embarked on a National Tour to support the arts and bring the best in unforgettable entertainment to the table.
In 2022, we will visit 19 cities, sponsoring and producing 38 events with top chefs, Broadway stars, and Grammy Award-winning artists. These events also showcase emerging talent in music, visual arts, film, and the culinary arts. Through this artistic culture, the Lloyd’s will channel this energy to support education and projects that fight hunger.
