Spiceology Tosses in the Pink Peppercorns while California Wine Festivals Invite Influencers to SoCal Coastal Tastings
ApexDrop Instagram Influencers, it’s time to spice up your kitchen and dining room experiences – and aesthetics – with Lloyd Cellars’ luscious and beautifully balanced wines and HexClad’s masterfully engineered HexMill Pepper Grinder. The HexMill Pepper Grinder’s sleek, black aluminum-bodied mill uses a burr grinder (just like the finest coffee grinders) to unlock the superior flavor profile only Spiceology’s fresh ground pepper blend offers. It has an adjustable grind range that takes you instantly from coarse to super fine to match any recipe that calls for the world’s most popular spice!
Winemaker Rob Lloyd is an artist and a cellar technician, utilizing long cold ferments when crafting our Carneros Chardonnay to preserve aromatics, fruit flavors, and color. For our Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir, Rob employs the technique of submersion cap fermentation. Imagine a giant French Press pressing the skins 8″ under the fermenting juice. This technique has many benefits. There are no punch downs and very few pump-overs to extract flavor from the skins – it is an infinitely gentler winemaking process, which creates super silky tannins and aromatic wines. Side-by-side, Lloyd Cellars wines, and HexClad’s HexMill Pepper Grinder look like soul mates. And ironically, they take the grind out of preparing and serving up bold and delicious meals. Additionally, HexClad and Lloyd Cellars will be at select California Wine Festivals this year, so for those who love world-class wine events, we hope to see you there!
Rob and Bonnie Lloyd send their sincere thanks to all our fans for your support over the past decade and a half. This journey humbles them. Some of you may have noticed that beyond crafting uncompromising wines of distinction, Lloyd Cellars and Prescription Vineyards have embarked on a National Tour to support the arts and bring the best in unforgettable entertainment to the table.
In 2022, we will visit 19 cities, sponsoring and producing 38 events with top chefs, Broadway stars, and Grammy Award-winning artists. These events also showcase emerging talent in music, visual arts, film, and the culinary arts. Through this artistic culture, the Lloyd’s will channel this energy to support education and projects that fight hunger.
In June, Lloyd Cellars joins the cast of wineries supporting Broadway & Vine, whose mission is to provide mentorship, masterclass, and performance opportunities for students and pre-professional performing artists. At the same time, Prescription Vineyards is again the exclusive wine sponsor for Tampa Bay Restaurant Week, which supports Feeding Tampa Bay.
We have launched a new, robust online events calendar to help our fans follow and join in the delicious fun and philanthropy. We encourage everyone to subscribe to the calendar. Please take a moment to review our National Tour dates, and if you see an event near you or one that intersects with your future travel plans, please reach out to us at marcomm@lloydcellars.com and let us know you’re planning to attend. Rob Lloyd Joined Five Winemakers from Burgundy to California for this Educational Webinar
While Chardonnay can provoke strong opinions amongst wine lovers, the grape itself is inherently neutral. The many flavors and nuances commonly associated with it are derived from terroir, winemaking, and aging. Relatively easy to cultivate in a wide range of micro-climates, it is chameleon-like and malleable to both vineyard conditions and winery regimen.
In this “Balancing Act” webinar hosted by Lars Leicht of The SOMM Journal and Andrea Robinson, MS, a diverse group of winemakers educates viewers about the unique terroirs and winemaking techniques that help bring out the best in their Chardonnays. Following introductions, Rob is the first winemaker interviewed.

Make this delicious Roast Pork with House Rub entree for Saturday dinner; turn leftovers into Sunday picnic sandwiches!
We’re very excited that the Fourth of July is on an actual weekend this year. (Honestly, it’s kind of a bummer when it lands on a Wednesday, right?) This weekend we’re making Chef Rob Bleifer’s Roast Pork recipe for our Saturday evening entree and pairing it with our Lloyd Cellars Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. Then for our Sunday Fourth of July celebration, we’re going to chop up the leftover pork and toss it with barbecue sauce to make pork sandwiches. This strategy allows for less time in the kitchen and more time to celebrate with friends and family…and to sip more Pinot Noir! Follow the former Food Network Executive Chef’s adventures on Instagram: @chef_robear
Chef Robert Bleifer goes for a classic, pairing pork with our Lloyd Cellars Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir. What makes this recipe so satisfying is the rub and the technique to bring it to the table.
